Monterey and Geek Land

Got down from the mountains and landed in Monterey by the beach. Monterey is a nice little town, which has roots quite back in the Mexico time – I mean the time where parts of California was Mexican.

The day after we went on the 17-Mile Drive tour and saw the Scenic view of the Monterey Bay. A bit annoying that the fog came out to play with us. :( “Go home foggy!”

After cruising around the Monterey Bay and “Carmel by the Sea” we started our journey towards Geek land! Nothing less that Sillicon Valley. Can you guess where we went? :)

First we stopped by Apple Inc., I know that deep inside Luciano wished to go there, and coincidentally we parked our Red Horse just behind mighty Steve Jobs’ car! :)

We went to the Apple Store and bought some stuff. The Apple people were nice. I like them. :P

Then we went on to Google. What a disappointment that was. The whole Googleplex was full of guards, and we were not even allowed to take a picture of the Google sign. :( But that never stopped 2c1c, so of course we did our drive by shooting and got a couple of pictures of the Google signs! Ha! Take that! :D

Then we went on to Stanford University, to show LZ around, and …. yes I like that place. LZ is more a Berkeley fan …. boooooo!

The whole day ended with us driving to San Rafael for dinner, and ended up at a Porto “Rico-an” (whatever it is spelled) restaurant – nice food and Pilu around. ;)
